We Are Twinset, also known as Philippa and Sarah, iconic lookalike duo, usually spotted on the prettiest streets in London. As stylists, Philippa and Sarah met and quickly became best friends. Known for their perfectly balayaged hair we find out their haircare secrets:

 

·      Why do you love having your hair balayaged? Our hair is our ‘thing’ and without doubt lighter locks make us feel fresher & more vibrant. Balayage is the most natural approach to colour giving that sunkissed, natural look we love. 

 

·       How do you keep your balayage looking fresh between salon visits? It’s all about looking after our hair and the products we use. It’s sad but true that colour can make hair drier and more damaged but with some clever products like the Pureology Hydrate range we instantly notice the improvement in our hair, from the shine to the texture & the feel. 

 

·       Do you find you need specific haircare for balayage, e.g. balancing haircare which looks after your natural and lightened hair? Absolutely! And we are all about the more natural approach. We’ve struggled in the past finding products that give both the shine and the protection but now we’ve got our secret weapons in Pureology! Sadly some products we’ve tried in the past can leave our hair feeling dull and lifeless. We have definitely done a lot of research!

 

·       How do you style your balayaged hair and what styling products do you use? We always use a heat protect spray after we’ve shampooed and conditioned our hair. We use A LOT of heat on our hair as we both straighten the frizz & then tong it in sections afterwards so it’s a very important part of our routine. We are all about the products that have max impact with minimal effort so a spray like Colour Fanatic that does it all is our product of choice. We always finish off with a medium hold hair spray afterwards to keep the waves intact.

 

·       How do you describe the colour you want to your colourist? We save loads of Pinterest images of sunkissed, golden locks to show the hairdresser and we prefer it much lighter around the face, to frame the face. We always request a more ashy blonde to a warm blonde. Not that we’re specific or anything!
